Preservation Plan for the Chalmette Monument

Cizek ED and Del Cid D. 1988. Preservation Plan for the Chalmette Monument. Historic Structure Management Plan

Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve protects the natural and cultural resources of Louisiana's Mississippi River Delta region. This preservation plan concerns the Chalmette Monument. The Plan represents an evaluation of project and program parameters established by the National Park Service in concert with the Preservation Architects. The resultant guidelines allowed for the development of the components of the plan within these guidelines and the allowable budget for the Plan. The Plan should provide a comprehensive statement for developing the next phase work order that will lead to the final acts of stabilizing the Chalmette Monument and insuring its maintenance for the future.
