Historic Structure Report and Furnishing Study: Blacksmith Shop

Bearss EC. 1973. Historic Structure Report and Furnishing Study: Blacksmith Shop. Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Denver Service Center. Denver, Colorado

This historic structure report concerns the blacksmith shop at the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. It is proposed that a blacksmith shop, similar in design but at a reduced scale to the Martiny-Sewell smithy, will be constructed on the grounds of the Johnson Brothers Ranch. The interior will be refurnished, a forge built, and a blacksmith employed to serve as an important facet of the area's living history program.
