Minute Man National Historical Park protects 970 acres in and around the Massachusetts towns of Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord, commemorating the opening battle in the American Revolutionary War. The purpose of this report is to provide a survey of the documentary material relating to the history of the Ephraim and Willard Buttrick houses in sufficient detail to assist in locating their sites and to provide information helpful in making an administrative decision concerning the preservation and interpretation of the sites. It is proposed that the foundations of these two important historic structures will be marked and described as in-place exhibits.
