Historic Grounds Report: The Scene of the Battle, 1775

Malcolm JL. 1983. Historic Grounds Report: The Scene of the Battle, 1775. Historic Grounds Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service

Minute Man National Historical Park protects 970 acres in and around the Massachusetts towns of Lexington, Lincoln, and Concord, commemorating the opening battle in the American Revolutionary War. The aim of this report is to relate, in as great detail as surviving historical materials permit, what the landscape looked like when the British regulars and their American opponents fought there- where the roads, houses, and barns were located, how the surrounded land was divided and used.
