Independence National Historical Park preserves sites associated with the American Revolution and the nation's founding history in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This report with recommendations is based upon a detailed inspection of the Independence Hall group of buildings consisting of five structures - Independence Hall, East Wing, West Wing, Old City Hall, and Congress Hall - located at Independence Square. In addition to the inspection, plans, specifications and some correspondence, all relating to the protection of the buildings were studied.
