The University of Utah research team conducted a review of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s (the park) sustainability as a destination, based on the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s destination criteria, in August of 2018. Specifically, the goals of this study were to assist the park in developing a sustainable park-level destination plan through a review of management and planning, economics, community and visitor benefits, and environmental benefit criteria.
