Independence National Historical Park preserves sites associated with the American Revolution and the nation's founding history in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This Historic Structures Report concerns Independence Hall. It is proposed that Independence Hall be restored and refurnished with greatest fidelity to its appearance in 1776 an the years immediately following; that the wing buildings and arcades be altered so as to reflect more nearly their historic conditions; and that the the Committee Room and Library, which adjoined the Assembly Room, be historically reconstructed.
