Executive Summary: "Lord Aeck Sargent (LAS) has performed an architectural condition assessment for the City of Dublin, Georgia, of the Mausoleum located in the Northview Cemetery. The assessment has documented a number of conditions impacting the building, all of which are related to water infiltration and movement through the building's masonry system. A primary cause of water infiltration has been addressed with the installation of a new roof in 2013; additional locations of water infiltration as well as damage from past water infiltration remain to be addressed. A number of treatment recommendations are proposed that are expected to address these problems in a way that does not negatively impact the integrity of the building's significant features and are in line with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Historic Preservation Division, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P17AF00068).
