Introduction: "Chambers, Murphy & Burge Historical Architectural, A Studio of Perspectus Architecture (CMB) was engaged by the City of Galion to provide architectural and historic preservation services for the Big Four Depot in Galion, Ohio to assess immediate facility conditions concerns as well as long term preservation, use and planning. The project involves master plan design concepts to improve usage and marketability of the facility, while conserving the historic character of the building. The historic character of the Depot is a key asset of the property. Any proposed changes must maintain and respect the value added by its history." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Ohio History Connection, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P17AF00020).
