"In observance of National Historic Preservation Month and hosted by the Clay County (SD) Historic Preservation Commission in cooperation with the South Dakota Office of Historic Preservation, the Yankton County (SD) Historic Preservation Commission, and other organizations, the conference will give preservationists from South Dakota and surrounding states an opportunity to compare experiences and exchange ideas." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the South Dakota State Historic Society, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P17AF00031).
