ESRI ArcGIS Online Story Maps utilizing the Dashboard Template. Colored transects in the map indicate the direction and rate of shoreline movement during a five year period. The color of each transect indicates whether there was erosion (sediment loss) or accretion (sediment gain); erosion is represented by shades of red, and accretion represented by shades of blue. Darker shades indicate more erosion or accretion. The length of the transects in the map are determined by the shoreline change envelope (SCE), or the greatest distance between all shorelines at that particular transect. Each transect is labeled with the annual rate of shoreline movement, plus the 95% confidence interval. You may have to zoom in on the map before a transect's label will display. Negative values indicate erosion and positive values indicate accretion. The annual rate of shoreline change was determined by calculating the linear regression rates of the points of intersection of all shorelines at each transect. The linear regression rates were calculated using the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS, version 5.0)
