Executive Summary: "The purpose of the Prince George's County Mid-century Modern Survey was to complete Maryland's inventory of Historic Properties intensive-level survey documentation for eleven houses designed in the modernist mode and located in the Moyaone Reserve, a planned residential community in Accokeek, Maryland. Research addressed the development of the Moyaone Reserve, the emergence of the modern house, and the architects responsible for designing the houses that were surveyed. Survey work was conducted in March and April of 2019. The inventory forms, photographs, and supplemental documentation related to the project will be stored at the Maryland Historical Trust library in Crownsville, Maryland. The survey achieved the goals of the projects, which included broadening public understanding of the work of architect Charles F. Wagner, Jr., and enhancing public awareness of the historic and architectural significance of the Moyaone Reserve." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant tot he Maryland Historical Trust administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P18AF00010).
