Laboratory Evaluation of Bishan Gari as an Emergency Point-of-Use Water Treatment Product

Brown TW. Laboratory Evaluation of Bishan Gari as an Emergency Point-of-Use Water Treatment Product. Research Permit and Reporting System

Bishan Gari is a coagulant based point-of-use water treatment product that is manufactured and distributed in Ethiopia during emergencies. Coagulant-disinfectant products, like Bishan Gari, have been used extensively during humanitarian emergencies; however, there is limited information on the treatment efficacy of Bishan Gari and documentation of its use as a point-of-use water treatment method during emergencies. CDC proposes to conduct a laboratory evaluation to determine its effectiveness.
