Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site is a historic house museum in Hyde Park, New York. It became a National Historic Landmark in 1940. It is owned and operated by the National Park Service. This Historic Structures Report concerns the Tool House (Bldg. No. 4) at Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site. It is proposed to rehabilitate the Tool House and to convert it into quarters. To accomplish this, interior modernization will be necessary. Existing storage cabinets will be removed. All work will be done with the least change possible to the original fabric.
