Yellowstone National Park is an American national park located in the western United States, largely in the northwest corner of Wyoming and extending into Montana, and Idaho. The building covered by this report is the Norris Soldier Station, which is Number 111 in the register of buildings in Yellowstone National Park. It is proposed to use this structure as a roadside museum which will serve as a typical example of an Army outpost station and provide a focal point for interpretation of the system of patrolling used by the Army in Yellowstone Park. The Norris Soldier Station will be in close proximity to a new campground development of 100 sites. It will be operated by a seasonal Ranger Naturalist, who will be quartered between the restored station and the campground, and whose duties will also include the management of the campground.
