Communication Implementation Plan

Mojave Desert Network. 2020. Communication Implementation Plan. National Park Service. Mojave Desert Network, Boulder City, Nevada

The Inventory & Monitoring Division (IMD) Communication Strategy and Resource Guide serves as the basis for this Network Communication Implementation Plan. This implementation plan is intended to be a short, succinct, two-year plan that will include background information, strategies, and a work plan for communications between the MOJN and its four main audiences (i.e. Objectives): (A) Park resource management staff and decision makers, (B) the scientific community, (C) internal IMD/Natural Resource Stewardship and Science (NRSS)/National Park Service (NPS) leadership and colleagues, and (D) the general public/park visitors and those that interact with them (i.e. park interpretation and education staff). Intent & Reporting: This plan will guide and align MOJN communications. This is an updated version of the original implementation plan developed by Janel Brackin in 2017. This plan focuses mostly on Objectives A and D, as the Network emphasizes those audiences with products such as reports and briefs. Overall planning and resource materials for this document (i.e. 'Strategies') are drawn from the 2016 /IMD Communication Strategy & Resource Guide, with network-specific efforts/actions/products/events addressing MOJN's goals for communication efforts within each audience (i.e. Objective). Parenthesis preceding a given strategy indicate primary responsible person or team.
