This report concerns the John Muir House (Structure No. HB-1). It is proposed to preserve and restore this structure to its 1914 appearance, both inside and out, and to refurnish it as closely as possible to the same period with original, reproduction, or period furnishings. It is also proposed to maintain and display the House as an exhibit in place and to conduct interpretive tours through it as a historical house museum to provide visitors with an understanding of the character of John Muir and his contributions to conservation, literature, and science.
