The purpose of this study is to provide information to help with the preservation, rehabilitation, and interpretation of the Wayside. In 1775, it was the home of the political leaders of Concord, a man who was also the Muster Master of the Concord Minute Companies. Later it was the home of authors: Bronson Alcott and his family, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Margaret Sidney. The report describes the history of the structure, including development and inhabitants. It includes photographs.
