Summary: "This End of Year Report is a compilation of fiscal year 2008 and 2009. Up until the retirement of the former Palau Registrar, Mr. Walter Metes in February 23, 2009, the office of the Registrar, according to a mutual understanding with NPS, focused on the hiring of a new Registrar. The daily tasks and responsibilities of the section continued however Project 1 and Project 2 were amended and extended with the anticipation that the new Registrar will execute and complete the projects along with projects proposed for fiscal year 2009. ...This report contains two sections identified as Fiscal Year 2008 Report and Fiscal Year 2009 Report. Each of the sections will provide the outcome of the Palau Historical and Cultural Advisory Board meeting and review of historical properties entered in the Palau Register of Historic Places. Appendix A will provide copies of the sites approved, meeting minutes, and photos for fiscal year 2008. Appendix B will provide copies of the sites approved, meeting minutes, and photos for fiscal year 2009. Appendix C are the copies of all the Palau Country Reports prepared for off-island trainings/" Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Arts and Culture, Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
