2016. Final Project Outline Report Fiscal Year 2015 Special Project - Survey & Inventory/Archaeology Project #2: Production and Printing of 2017 Palauan and English Calendars. Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation, Ministry of Community Affairs

Summary of Achievements: "The Production and Printing of 2017 Palauan and English Calendars was successfully completed. Staff of the Survey & Inventory/Archaeology Section did background research in BCHP Library and on-line information, and also conducted interviews with the Society of Historians and members of the Palau Historical and Cultural Advisory Board before they began this project. All needed information was collected and compiled in order to complete the final layout. Both calendars contain information such as pictures of registered sites, sites that are listed in the BCHP Inventory, different types of sites and features and descriptions of the significance of a Palauan calendar year, etc. Fortunately with capability of office equipments on hand, the skilled staff did the entire layout on their own and brought it to the printer for printing. A total of 300 calendars were printed. The main purpose of the calendar is to educate and inform the public about the importance and significance of the Palauan year cycle, historical and cultural resources of Palau as well as preservation program activities." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation, Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P15AF00111).
