From the Program Overview: "The First Annual EOY Summary Report of FY'15 HPF Grant Award summarizes the progress of programs, projects and activities implemented in the final year of the grant period from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016... The Bureau has objectives that are specified in the Workplan to continue the implementation of established programs including the Administration and Planning, Survey and Inventory and Project Review/Archaeology, Oral History and Ethnography Program, Site Nomination and Registration, Site Development and Restoration, and Public Education. In implementing the approved and projects, Bureau continued to strengthen the education and awareness of the public on the importance and need to preserve and protect the historical and cultural resources of Palau as well as Palau's cultural heritage for the benefit of our present and future generations, as well as our economic development...." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation, Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number 70-15-HPF).
