Introduction: "The Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation/Palau Historic Preservation Office held its Town Hall Meeting in Ngatpang State, Republic of Palau on February 24, 2015. The town hall meeting was designed to publicize and for awareness of Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation goals and objectives and to get public input and comments on the Palau Historic Preservation Goals and Priorities which ensures an opportunity for citizen input in the process leading to the formulation of the Historic Preservation Fund annual grant application. The town hall meeting was held at 7pm evening which is when most of the state resident/community is available to attend. The primary purpose of this project is to focus on the awareness and public input sought on Palau Historic Preservation Goals and Priorities, ensuring public scrutiny, review, and participation in the establishment of the Palau Historic Preservation Program annual goals and priorities as stated in Chapter 3 and 6, HPF manual. In addition, to strengthen public awareness on the importance of preserving and protecting Palau's previous cultural and historical heritage." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Cultural and Historical Preservation, Ministry of Community & Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number 70-13-51964).
