List of Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern Fish & Wildlife Species of New York State, Date Accessed 6/24/2019 The Department is proposing to revise the list of endangered, threatened, and special concern species. The table below shows the current status of species and the species status assessments developed in support of the State Wildlife Action Plan in 2015. These assessments are the basis of any proposed change in status. In addition to evaluating the currently listed species, DEC is evaluating all High Priority Species of Greatest Conservation Need for potential listing.
