From the Introduction: "The Public Education Section is to foster public knowledge, awareness, and appreciation of protecting and preserving Palau's cultural heritage and historic and cultural resources. The program area of Public Education has objectives as follows: 1) to educate the public and to make them aware on the importance of protecting and preserving Palau's cultural heritage for the benefit of present and future generation; 2) assist in tours and visits to historic and cultural sites for education purpose; 3) conduct workshops and trainings purposely to educate on the application and compliance of BAC Project Review Process and Compliance; and 4) to publicize the BAC and its historic preservation goals and priorities to seek public participation and input in the preservation and protection of Palau's cultural heritage and historic and cultural resources." This is the end of year report for fiscal year 2013, which lists the projects and accomplishments of the year." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Office, Bureau of Arts and Culture, Ministry of Community & Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
