From the Program Overview: "The First Annual EOY Summary Report of the FY'12 HPF Grant Award summarizes the progress of programs, projects and activities implemented in the first year of the grant period from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012. The Second and Final EOY Summary Report for the period from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2013 will be submitted on or before December 31, 2013. ...Bureau has objectives that are specified in the Workplan to continue the implementation of established programs including the Administration and Planning, Survey and Inventory and Project Review/Archaeology, Oral History and Ethnography Program, Site Nomination and Registration, Site Development and Restoration, and Public Education. In implementing the approved programs and projects, Bureau continues to strengthen the education and awareness of the public on the importance and need to preserve and protect the historical and cultural resources of Palau as well as Palau's cultural heritage for the benefit of our present and future generations...." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Palau Historic Preservation Program, Bureau of Arts and Culture, Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs, administered by the Pacific West Regional Office, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number 70-12-41964).
