Seed Germination Protocols for difficult taxa: Arctostaphylos uva-ursi. Research Permit and Reporting System
On September 15 2019 2 lbs. of Arctostaphylos uva-ursi fruit was collected from plants along the road to what appears to be a staging area. The attached report provides specifics. There are no conclusive results regarding germination at this time. I do hope the Director of the Botanic Garden, Smith College has some success with germinating this taxon at some point.
