Task Directive, Historic Structure Preservation Guide for Park Historic Structures: Package 114

Staff. 1986. Task Directive, Historic Structure Preservation Guide for Park Historic Structures: Package 114. Historic Structure Management Plan. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Denver Service Center, Denver, Colorado

This task directive describes the preparation of a historic structure preservation guide (HSPG) for eleven buildings in the Skagway Historic District, which will address maintenance of the structures over a multi-year period. The basis for the preparation of this HSPG for several of the buildings at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park is provided by other planning documents, such as the management plan and historic structures reports. They direct the preparation of construction documents and implementation of rehabilitation/restoration treatments for structures for interpretation, lease, and NPS use. The document covers overall preservation maintenance while individual chapters are tailored to the needs of each building. It outlines the HSPG, which will contain instructions, schedules, and reference materials.
