This booklet has been prepared by the Denver Service Center (DSC), the National Park Service's principal office for in-house and contractual professional services, to explain to interested firms the criteria, processes, and negotiating procedures used in procuring professional architect/engineer contractors (called "A/E" for brevity). Included under this A/E label are architects, engineers, landscape architects, planners, natural and social scientists, research historians, and other firms whose services meet Park Service needs.
