This research consisted of a set of initial assessments of the abundance of large woody debris, or "driftwood" within lakes or waterways within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore or Grand Sable Dunes and within 5 km of Lake Superior as well as some initial collections of tree-rings from some of wood that was documented.
