Nine marine mammals were reported stranded in Cape Lookout National Seashore. These strandings included eight bottlenose dolphins and one pygmy sperm whale. The strandings included one live animal, one fresh dead animal, six moderately decomposed animals, and one animal that was in a state of advanced decomposition. A total of 209 samples were collected from these stranded animals. A total of 69 samples from nine animals were submitted for analysis. We look forward to a continued collaboration.
