Stantec Consulting, Inc. was contracted by Wisconsin DOT to perform a presence/absence survey for freshwater mussels in preparation for bridge repairs. A total of 467 live mussels were found during 17 diver-hours of surveying, representing 15 species. One additional species was represented solely by shell specimens. Three additional species were found at the relocation site.
