This standard operating procedure (SOP) provides instructions for the development, maintenance, and distribution of monitoring data associated with the protocol for estuarine water-quality monitoring in the Southeast Coast Network. All fixed-station water-quality monitoring data (e.g., calibration data, field data sheets, Sonde data, and discrete nutrient data) will be stored in the SECN data management system. It is the responsibility of the network data manager and water-quality protocol lead and staff to be thoroughly familiar with the standards and procedures within the protocol and companion SOPs, and ensure this SOP is updated to reflect any substantial changes made to that plan. All proposed changes to this SOP must be routed through the data manager for approval.
