This three-month study focused on the ecology and activities of three species: wolf, beaver, and muskrat. While much of the study was devoted to wolf activity, each beaver colony from the 1964 study was revisited, mapped, and summarized. Muskrats tend to be observed in active or inactive beaver ponds, as well as shallow lakes. The two species tend to coexist with muskrats being mildly dependent on beavers for ideal conditions.
