Executive Summary: "The purpose of this report is to assess the condition of the Apollo Civic Theatre and to provide recommendations on the renovation and restoration of this historic structure. The existing Apollo Civic Theatre is a three-story structure of 22,500 square feet. The structure has a basement mechanical room. On the first floor is the main auditorium, the second floor is the main ballroom, and the third floor is a multi-purpose space. It is proposed that the building be completely restored to the greatest extent possible to meet the needs of the Theatre including all architectural finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems. An addition is proposed on the adjacent open lot to accommodate the theatre's need for set storage and construction. A new elevator is planned to provide accessibility to the entire building. The report includes an analysis of the existing conditions, recommendations, and a cost analysis to complete the restoration work."
