This brochure details historic sites in Pierre and Fort Pierre. It provides directions and historical background for thirty-five properties in the area. The brochure was designated to appeal to both residents and visitors and includes the National Register sites and two National Historic Landmark sites in the area. Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the South Dakota State Historic Preservation Office, South Dakota Historical Society, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (P19AF00014).
