From the Executive Summary: "Terracon Consultants, Inc. conducted a Historic Resources Survey for the City of Hawkinsville in Pulaski County, Georgia, which identified 287 total historic-age resources that were included in the survey. The term 'historic-age resource' refers to anything in the built environment that is over 40 years old, as determined by HPD standards. Therefore, the year 197 was used as a cut-off date for the purposes of this survey. Prior to this survey, two other surveys were conducted in 1990. Of the 287 total historic-age resources surveyed as part of this survey, 47 were resurveyed from the prior surveys. Of this resurveyed, 17 were determined to be no longer extant. Therefore, a total of 270 historic-age resources were identified as being extant at the time of the survey within the survey area." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Georgia Historic Preservation Division, Department of Natural Resources, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P19AF00220).
