Survey Objectives: "The reconnaissance survey will provide a baseline for future surveys. The survey will also identify area that could be included in the National Register of Historic Places or be locally designated as historic sites or districts. The report will also evaluate any individual historic resources for national or local historic designation. The survey will also identify character-defining characteristics and themes in each neighborhood. The survey report will also contain a brief history to put each neighborhood and their built environments into historic context." Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office, Department of Natural Resources, administered by the State, Tribal, Local Plans and Grants division, National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior (grant number P19AF00084).
