This SOP describes methods for characterizing habitat conditions at pool sites for the Pacific Island Network Anchialine Pool Monitoring Protocol. Habitat variables that are measured include (1) riparian canopy closure, (2) pool substrate pebble size, (3) water depth, and (4) detritus depth. Each of these variables is measured at various points along a transect.
