This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) describes how to download/upload GPS data for the Pacific Island Network (PACN) Anchialine Pool Monitoring Protocol using DNRGPS, free software that is the PACN standard for incorporating Garmin GPS data into a GIS. This SOP is written specifically for newer Garmin GPS models, but it may be used for any other Garmin GPS model that can average a waypoint and collect track logs. The data transfer process uses DNRGPS 6.1.0.6.
