The Tree with Many Names

This report documents the history of cultural significance of one of the most infamous trees in the park. It is a sycamore tree that is approximately 350 to 400 years old which goes by many names (Peace Tree, Council Tree, the Treaty Tree and the Pilgerruh tree, to name a few). The report provides confirmation of the identity of this historic tree, and describes the folklore and history that produced so many names for this iconic tree.
