The aim of the project was to learn what do visitors to Shackleford Banks really know about the horses, where to they acquire their knowledge and does the experience of seeing the horses 'up close and personal' and living on the island lead to an appreciation and better understanding of their place in the ecosystem. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic being in full swing, 21 visitors took the online survey and the results were very illuminating.
