FROM THE EYES OF YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK VISITORS: CURRENT AND FUTURE DESIRED CONDITIONS. Research Permit and Reporting System
Forty-five qualitative interviews, both in person in the park and over video conferencing calls were conducted summer 2020 to discover the desired conditions visitors would like in Yellowstone. Themes that emerged were rules and regulations, technology, closures, COVID-19, crowding, thermal features, wildlife, visitor displacement, keeping the park the same, infrastructure, and park shuttle. Desired conditions at Midway Geyser Basin were suggested the most by visitors.
