Rodrigues D and Manrique S. 2020. Cuyahoga Valley National Park Collection Condition Survey. Past Matters, LLC. Baltimore, MD

On August 20, 2020, the National Park Service (NPS) retained Past Matters, LLC to conduct a Collection Condition Survey (CCS) of artifacts from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CUVA). The purpose of the CCS is to document conditions and identify the preservation and conservation needs of 300 objects that are part of the CUVA collection and currently in storage and on exhibit. The preventive care and treatment recommendations contained within this report will serve as a framework to guide CUVA and regional curatorial staff in setting priorities for the conservation and management of their collection. The survey will also facilitate budgeting, scheduling, and subsequent communications with conservators regarding treatments.
