This report was developed by a team of midshipmen students at the United States Naval Academy as a capstone project for their Ocean Engineering course: "The Pier Builders", Zach Elvin, Ian Myers, Luke Ostrowski, Marius Prince, and Walker Russell, under their adviser, Professor David Kriebel. The report is intended to support San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in managing coastal issues and infrastructure needs at the Municipal Pier. This project was completed in partnership between the United States Naval Academy Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and the National Park Service, in efforts to support park needs along vulnerable shorelines.
