Active acoustic sites sampled within the NPS National Capital Region units in 2017. Locations were repeats of Gates and Johnson (2005). 2005). Sites were sampled for 20 minute periods. Absence (A) and presence (P) were based on Kaleidoscope Bats of North America 4.2.0 classifier MLE < 0.05. Sample periods were 20 minutes in duration. Samples where there were no rain events are indicated with 1. Species abbreviations include: big brown (Eptesicus fuscus; EPFU), eastern red (Lasiurus borealis; LABO), hoary bat (Lasiurus cinereus; LACI), silver-haired (Lasionycteris noctivagans; LANO), eastern small-footed (Myotis leibii; MYLE), little brown (Myotis lucifugus; MYLU), northern long-eared (Myotis septentrionalis; MYSE), Indiana (Myotis sodalis; MYSO), evening (Nycticeius humeralis; NYHU), and tri-colored bat (Perimyotis subflavus; PESU).
