Nightly mean of echolocation calls recorded by all passive acoustic detectors for each unit within the NPS National Capital Region units between 15 May 2016 and 14 Aug 2018. All calls were identified to species based on Kaleidoscope Bats of North America 4.2.0 classifier. Calls (y-axes) are the mean calls for each date within the unit, and date (x-axes) are the sample nights. Nights with no calls appear with a dot on zero and nights that were not sampled do not have a dot. Species abbreviations are: big brown (Eptesicus fuscus; EPFU), eastern red (Lasiurus borealis; LABO), hoary bat (Lasiurus cinereus; LACI), silver-haired (Lasionycteris noctivagans; LANO), eastern small-footed (Myotis leibii; MYLE), little brown (Myotis lucifugus; MYLU), northern long-eared (Myotis septentrionalis; MYSE), Indiana (Myotis sodalis; MYSO), evening (Nycticeius humeralis; NYHU), Mexican free-tailed (Tadarida brasiliensis; TABR), southeastern myotis (Myotis austroriparius; MYAU), and tri-colored bat (Perimyotis subflavus; PESU). During this sample period, Prince William Forest Park (PRWI) and Manassas National Battlefield Park included TABR, and PRWI included MYAU.
