A Guide to Understanding the Hydrologic Condition of Wisconsin’s Lake Superior Watersheds
Schultz S. 2007. A Guide to Understanding the Hydrologic Condition of Wisconsin’s Lake Superior Watersheds
The Lake Superior Basin Partner Team developed a water-shed health strategy aimed at slowing the flow in the Lake Superior Basin. The focus of the strategy was to develop a model watershed management guidance that would be promoted across the entire basin. To aid in developing the guidance, the group selected a pilot area from the Wisconsin portion of the basin to try out the approach, determine the best information sources, and identify important features that may be common throughout the basin, as well as assessing the hydrologic condition of the pilot area. The pilot report, Assessing the Hydrologic Condition of the Marengo River Watershed, outlines the steps taken to assess the hydrologic condition of the pilot area, provides information about the hydrologic condition of the pilot area, and companions this Guide to Understanding the Hydrologic Condition of Wisconsin’s Lake Superior Watersheds.
