Summary of water quality operations and annual data patterns for rivers in three SEAN parks (GLBA, KLGO, and SITK) in NPS report format, generated between 2010 – 2017. Water quality and streamflow are indicators of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem health and priority Vital Signs in Southeast Alaska. Data collected by this monitoring program support park management by measuring the natural quality of wilderness lands, describing effects of climate change on the physical and chemical properties of park waters, and assessing when and by what magnitude state water quality standards are exceeded. Annual reports offer a concise data overview through figures, tables, and interpretation of seasonal trends. Any methodological changes or protocol deviations are noted, as are extraordinary regional weather or streamflow events impacting river conditions.
