UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT TO ADDRESS THE PRESENCE OF WOLVES
National Park Service. 2016. UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR NATIONAL PARK SERVICE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT TO ADDRESS THE PRESENCE OF WOLVES
This draft Environmental Impact Statement to Address the Presence of Wolves (draft plan/EIS) presents four alternatives for managing the presence of wolves on Isle Royale National Park: the no-action alternative, and three action alternatives involving various methods of the introduction of wolves to Isle Royale. This draft plan/EIS assesses the impacts to the island ecosystem, wilderness character, moose, and wolf populations that could result from the implementation of each alternative. At the conclusion of this decision-making process, the alternative selected for implementation will guide the National Park Service in the management of the wolf population at Isle Royale over the next 20 years
