From mid-April to mid-May 1991, archeological testing of Lot 48 on Shenandoah Street, HFNHP, was undertaken prior to construction of a disabled access path to Building 43, which is adjacent to Lot 48. The lot has been vacant since 1957, when a twentieth-century department store was razed. After the Introduction, the report describes the History, Features, Archeological Methodology and the Excavation Units. The Summary is followed by Recommendations. Appendix A describes the Features of the site and Appendix B is a Catalog of Artifacts.
